CSS animation-timing-function property


The animation-timing-function property specifies how a CSS animation should progress over the duration of each cycle.

Values

This is the value you will use with animation-timing-function property

ValueDescription
linearSpecifies that the animation goes from its initial state to its final state, with a constant speed.
easeSimilar to ease-in-out, though it accelerates more sharply at the beginning and the acceleration already starts to slow down near the middle of it.
ease-inSpecifies that the animation begins slowly, then progressively accelerates until the final state is reached and the animation stops abruptly.
ease-outSpecifies that the animation starts quickly then slow progressively down when approaching to its final state.
ease-in-outSpecifies that the animation starts slowly, accelerates then slows down when approaching its final state.
step-startEquivalent to steps(1, start)
step-endEquivalent to steps(1, end)
steps(int,start|end)Specifies a stepping function, with two parameters. The first parameter specifies the number of intervals in the function. It must be a positive integer (greater than 0). The second parameter, which is optional, is either the value "start" or "end",and specifies the point at which the change of values occur within the interval. If the second parameter is omitted, it is given the value "end"
cubic-bezier(n,n,n,n)
cubic-bezier(n,n,n,n)Defines a cubic Bezier curve. It is also known as speed curve. Possible values are numeric values from 0 to 1.
